"This salon came highly recommended by several local friends, so I was surprised by today’s unpleasant experience. When I walked in, I was greeted by a receptionist with a sour and impatient air. I said my name slowly and clearly, and she immediately said it back to me incorrectly and mispronouncing my name. That may seem like a small thing, but for me it showed she wasn’t listening and didn’t care, and it made me feel more unwelcome. This is a customer service field, and the details matter. Today many details were off. The stylist was fine, and the haircut was fine. The shampoo wasn’t comfortable or relaxing at all. There was no massage, and my hair was pulled a lot. I was persuaded to do a moisture treatment without knowing the price, which ended up being almost as much as the cut (the price isn’t listed on the website either). As part of the treatment they put me under a heater that was extremely close to my head and very hot. It was really uncomfortable and burned my scalp - in fact my scalp still feels sensitive. The cut was fine. I asked her not to blow dry my hair because I didn’t want more hair pulling and burning on my scalp, though she suggested a bit of drying and it turned into more hair pulling and a dryer burning my scalp again. I just wanted the experience to end. I’m aware that this isn’t something the salon can fully control, but there was a male client who came in speaking extremely loudly and coughing everywhere, which added to the discomfort of the experience. I typically think of a haircut as a time when a person can relax and even a special occassion to treat themselves(especially when spending nearly 60€), but this was far from that. The haircut is fine, but I honestly regret going. I will not return."

We could talk a little bit in English and a little bit in Spanish but that's ok for me, because I am satisfied with the outcome. "The entire staff was very friendly, The salon was very clean and welcoming. Diego cut and styled my (very long) hair. Even with a little bit of a language barrier, he understood exactly what I wanted. If I had needed more help translating, the woman at the front desk spoke English. The value was great and I will absolutely go back!"
